The Imperial Navy - First Sea Lord - Beleriand Ulem Admiral (Captains Council) - Trikoth Skultek Admiral (Shipwrights Guild) - vacant
The Navy is commanded by the First Sea Lord and
reports to the Imperial Judicator. The
First Sea Lord has complete control, in conjunction with the Admiral of the
Captain Council, over the operation of the army in times of
peace. In times of war or at the
command of the Imperial Judicator the Captains Council assumes command of the
navy. The Captains Council is comprised
of all Officers who hold the rank of Admiral and above, the Imperial Judicator
and Lord Rahkzan if he so wishes. The navy is charged with the protection of all
Tarian merchant vessels in every sea. It
is the duty of every Ship commander to ensure the safety of these ships.
As the navy may operate many days from a friendly port the commander of
an Imperial Navy ship may operate in adverse conditions and situations.
To this end they have the ability to operate outside of a lawful order
they were given when they left port, however on their return home they must
justify their departure from their orders. The Shipwrights Office controls ship and
building production and building materials, the payment of all officers and
sailors, equipment needed for all ships and operation of all navy run stores and
businesses (including docks and ports). When the Imperial navy is in combat ships and ports
will be captured, these shall be given to the civilian government as no officer
may profit from the Empire.
However the capture of important cities and persons will result in an
immediate gratuity depending upon the said location or person.
At the end of the war officers will be given bonuses and medals depending
upon their performance. This may
include land, money or titles depending upon the will of Lord Rahkzan. |
